If you are already a mother, why not give your friend a “best of” box. Go to Target or Walmart and find a pretty canvas box (pink or blue depending on if it is a boy or a girl). Then fill the box with all of your “can’t live without” items….breastmilk storage bags, stain remover, favorite pacifier etc..

Newborn Baby Idea #2: Girl’s Night OUt

If you are friends, why not offer to treat her to a night out…dinner, chick flick etc.  Plan this gift around the 6 week mark, so mom will be ready to leave the baby a bit and get some much needed time with her friends.

For my baby shower, my friend bought me ordinary plastic closet dividers for the baby. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but now it is hands down the most practical and useful thing I received. Each divider has an age on it..3 months, 6 months, 9 months, etc. You can use them to separate clothes in the closet easily so you can store “next size” garments easily and without the danger of loosing or misplacing them
